HMS Sandown

The HMS Sandown sailed around Sandown Bay today, October 7, 2004, on it's final voyage, returning to its base at Portsmouth for decommissioning.

Brilliant weather greeted the ship and its crew as it made a number of circuits of the bay.

This photo was taken from onboard a catamaran, looking towards Lake and Shanklin, as HMS Sandown cruised around the bay on its final voyage.
